How to play

Buy a tent, staff it, and let your plants print ETH every day. Everything's on-chain on Robinhood Chain — real ETH in, real ETH out.

01Getting started

Green Empire runs on Robinhood Chain — an Ethereum Layer-2. To play you need an EVM wallet (MetaMask, Robinhood Wallet, any injected wallet) with a little ETH for buys and some $GREEN for the per-transaction burn.

  • Connect your wallet. Open the game, hit Connect Wallet, approve the switch to Robinhood Chain.
  • Grab a tent. Your first buy is a Grow Tent, priced in ETH (the live price is shown in-game). That's your farm.
  • Approve $GREEN once. So the game can burn it on each action, then you're off.
On testnet now. Everything below is live on Robinhood Chain testnet — play with test funds today. Mainnet follows a security audit.

02How you earn

The loop is dead simple, and it pays in ETH:

  • Buy a tent → buy plants → hire workers to staff them.
  • Every staffed plant earns ETH every single day, automatically — no babysitting.
  • Cash out your accumulated ETH to your wallet whenever you want.
  • Reinvest into more plants, more workers, and bigger stages to compound the daily flow.

Your plants literally make ETH per 24-hour period. More workers on a plant = more ETH/day, up to that plant's cap.

03Tents, plants & workers

Three things to buy, all priced in ETH. Each purchase is its own on-chain transaction (and burns $GREEN — see below).

Workers are the throttle

A plant on its own does little — workers make it earn. Each worker you add takes a share of that plant's daily ETH, and a plant holds up to 5 workers. A full 5-worker crew maxes a plant to its daily cap. Want more? Buy more plants and staff them too.

Example: a Grow Tent holds one plant with up to five workers. Kit it out and it runs at full tilt, paying you ETH every day. Then you upgrade for room to scale.

04Upgrade ladder

Outgrown your tent? Upgrade the operation. You keep every plant and worker you already own — an upgrade just unlocks more slots (and higher daily caps).

05Cashing out

Your earnings pile up as claimable ETH. Hit Cash Out and the game hands your wallet a signed authorization; you submit one on-chain claim and the ETH lands in your wallet.

  • Server-signed, capped. Payouts are authorized by a signed voucher — you can never claim more than you've earned, and a voucher can't be replayed or redirected.
  • Paid from the pool. The ETH comes straight out of the on-chain pool that buys and top-ups fund.

06The $GREEN burn

Here's the tokenomics. Every in-game transaction burns 500 $GREEN. Buy a plant — burn. Hire a worker — burn. Upgrade — burn. The tokens are sent out of circulation, permanently.

That means constant, structural demand for $GREEN: every player, every action, forever. It's a pure sink — the more the empire grows, the more $GREEN gets burned.

Heads up on the ticker: $GREEN is a placeholder name. The final ticker will not be "USDG" — that's already Robinhood Chain's own dollar stablecoin.

07Coming soon

The core grow-and-earn loop is live. These deepen the game and land next:

  • Research — spend to boost your yield, speed, and payouts.
  • Genetics & breeding — cross strains for rarer, higher-earning plants.
  • Auction House — a player-to-player market for strains and gear.

08Chrome extension

The Grow Console is a companion Chrome extension that lives in your toolbar — it lights up the moment there's ETH to claim, pings you when earnings are ready, and shows stage, plants and ETH/day at a glance. It signs you in straight from the web game; on-chain buys and cash-outs open the game so your wallet can sign.

Install it (about 30 seconds)

  • Download the extension: green-empire-extension.zip, then unzip it.
  • Open chrome://extensions in Chrome.
  • Turn on Developer mode (top-right toggle).
  • Click Load unpacked and pick the unzipped green-empire-extension folder.
  • Sign into the web game once — the extension picks up your session and the toolbar badge lights up when there's ETH to cash out.
Developer build. It's not on the Chrome Web Store yet, so you install it unpacked via Developer mode. A Web Store listing (one-click install) is coming. The extension only talks to the Green Empire game and API — it needs your wallet only inside the game itself, never in the popup.

09FAQ

Do I need a crypto wallet?
Yes — Green Empire is on-chain. You buy, earn, and cash out in real ETH on Robinhood Chain, so you'll connect an EVM wallet (MetaMask, Robinhood Wallet, etc.).
What do I actually pay in?
ETH for everything you buy and everything you earn. You also hold a bit of $GREEN, because every transaction burns 500 of it.
What is $GREEN?
The project token. It isn't a currency you spend — it's a burn sink: every in-game action destroys 500 $GREEN forever, creating steady demand. (Placeholder ticker — the real one won't be "USDG".)
What chain is this?
Robinhood Chain — a permissionless Ethereum Layer-2 built on Arbitrum. Native gas is ETH.
Is it pay-to-win?
It's play-to-earn: you put ETH in to buy plants and workers, and they pay ETH back out every day. More (and better-staffed) plants earn more. Payouts are capped per plant, so it stays sustainable.
Is it live?
The full loop — buy, earn, cash out — is live on testnet right now. Mainnet ships after a security audit.
